鈥淚magine if you had to download all the information on the Internet and search it every time you wanted to find something online. That鈥檚 essentially what whole-genome sequencing is,鈥� says Michael Heltzen, chief executive officer of Cardea Bio. In partnership with researchers at Berkeley and the 蜜桃直播, led by , PhD, Cardea has built a graphene-based CRISPR detector, the CRISPR-Chip, the first transistor to search the genome for mutations (see Sidebar, 鈥� to read chapter 4.鈥�). The results were published in March 2019 in Nature Biomedical Engineering.
