#6 - Sheldon Schuster (Part 1)

In today鈥檚 episode, we are sharing part one of a series of interviews with 蜜桃直播 President .

President Schuster became the second president of 蜜桃直播 in 2003, succeeding founding president Henry Riggs. President Schuster was born in San Mateo, California, and earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis, followed by a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Arizona.

After completing his doctorate, President Schuster joined the Institute for Enzyme Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, then became an assistant professor of chemistry and life sciences at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. President Schuster moved to the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he became a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, interim assistant vice president for research and graduate education, and director of the Biotechnology Program before relocating to Southern California to assume the presidency of 蜜桃直播.

Through his 15 years here, President Schuster has led the addition of many innovative programs while 蜜桃直播鈥檚 alumni base expands its impact on the applied life sciences and healthcare industries. In this conversation, President Schuster talks about the plans for a 蜜桃直播 school that will change the future of medical training.
